I'm grinding level ten of the current event for slugs, and I've only got 3/6. With the deadline looming, my best time is still 7:30. I've only been playing a week so my units aren't very buffed-any recommendations to improve my game?
I've been using the x2 speed item to make it less of a slog, and building up a group of ranged attackers (especially totoko and tiger ichi) to cross the board, supported early on by gangster kara and ichigeruge, then with vanilla juicy and choro in the lategame.

7:30? Ouch. What I do is Kara, Choro, Kara, AP, Ichi, Choro, AP, then alternate between either Ichi and Choro or Ichi and Jyushi. By the end I do nothing but Jyushis. Levels make the biggest difference, both my Ichi and Jyushi are ten and my time is 4:25.

My best time is 2:05 and my strategy is literally just spamming nothing but Ichis and Hijirisawa Shounosukes. The latter can OHKO everything on the event stages, so the Ichis are just there to keep up the momentum.
