So recently I've went back to read everything post timeskip and I've got a question regarding Trebol.
In his little speech/flashback he's talking about Doffy having "the royalties" and how he's going to stand behind Doffy as he does his king influence power manifest destiny bullshit. Then we see baby Doffy's "crew" basically just appease him in any way possible and groom him.
Was Trebol trying to control Doffy through the "family" stuff, did he honestly just go "wow this kid has a future I guess I'll follow him blindly now", or was he basically just appeasing and grooming Doffy so that when he got older (now) Doffy would just do his thing and Trebol could then kick back and have the easy life?
Everyone else in the Doffy family was completely subservient and blindly loyal to Doffy but Trebol's little tangent made it come off that he was aware all this shit would just fall into place.
