I haven't seen the anime but I can't imagine they'd be able to include even half the content of a manga chapter, one of the most distinct aspects of it is text heavy lists. It's definitely worth a read, the first 10 or so volumes are some of the funniest I've ever read and the art/paneling/character design is really nice.

It's almost certainly p if you're wondering whether it's p or i. But to answer your question, in MPC-HC type shift+F10, in the pop up click the MediaInfo tab, then scroll through the video section for "Scan type" where it will probably say " : Progressive"

I did but Sensei dying in that episode doesn't seem to relate to it.
Interestingly (though I might be wrong), the whole nearly dying from carbon monoxide poisoning part wasn't in the original manga chapter and nor was Sensei's death. I wonder why they changed it.
