Or just use a deck that has vocab/readings in it and do vocab at a faster pace alongside/after RTK. Plus RTK is primarily for handwriting and gives you an extremely strong visual grasp on every kanji you see. Almost every card failed is reading-related for me (usually a new reading I'm still getting down or a really weird reading). Both are fine. Don't be a retard.

I use this shit everyday now and finish in a few hours. I have too much spare time and I should just go read VNs but I just do nothing but waste time instead of doing work. I have 400-500 cards pop up a day pretty much but its nothing if I stick to this.

I prefer my mnemonics to actually be memory aids, not the main event. You shouldn't have to study exclusively to recall them. I use keyword+radical breakdown to kanji now, learn vocab to help key my recall, and only spend time developing mnemonics for the leeches. You know ... a balanced, non-autistic approach.
Is the kanjidamage deck any useful? And if so, is it on the guide? I can't seem to find it.

I had 217 reviews today. The decks sometimes overlap with each other though so It's not as bad.
I can dedicate at least 4 hours to learning before needing a break.
I realized I have 40 weeks left in core 6k if I go the pace I am going now at 15 words a day. If I jump up to 20 words a day, I could be done in 30 weeks.

I did read what was written in the book. RTK worked very well for me and it still does. The mnemonics other people came up with simple stuck a lot easier than the ones I was able to come up with even if I kept trying to adjust my own mnemonic. Not sure what you're taking issue with here. His word isn't absolute law, if someone else's mneomics are working leaps and bounds better than my own for a kanji, there's no reason to stubbornly keep trying to make my own mnemonic stick, it's a waste of energy and isn't going to improve anything (based on my personal experience). Plus a lot of the time the koohii story was more or less what I came up with anwyays.

RTK just isn't the right method for everyone. I was taxing too much mental power to the task of trying to visualize mnemonics when I could have just been studying repetitively until I noticed patterns and retained the visual information. I had basically ended up studying how to study RTK, where kanji was a side effect instead of the end goal.

The best thing I ever did was 100 words/day of Core6k for a month before then dropping it entirely. Not because it did wonders for my vocabulary, but because I realized sooner than later the importance of actual reading and mining words relevant to you instead of forcing newspaper words into your head with no context.

Doesn't matter.

"Things" specifically allows exceptions, especially in places that are not related to the statement. "I don't like tomatoes" doesn't instantly mean you hate pizza. It can, but it doesn't have to. A sassy parent might say that to their kid after they say they don't like tomatoes, but that's just the parent being difficult.
"I don't like any tomato" means that tomato products are necessarily included in your dislike, regardless of whether that dislike may be weaker or stronger.
The relationship between "things" and "anything" is the same. I can say "I can't memorize things" in a conversation about studying school subjects, but then go home and read hours upon hours of technical computer science information and retain it with no difficulty at all, and there's no contradiction there. If I said "I can't memorize anything", then it would necessarily be a statement about my ability to commit things to memory in general, even if I were exaggerating.

You can, but you wouldn't, because that's a vague and useless sentence unless you have more context since it would hold true for anyone. It's within the realm of possibility that the anon really can't visualize anything and he didn't mention anything in particular that would lead you to believe he was talking about some specific kind of things, other than perhaps those that you would find in a mnemonic. That at the very least makes it ambiguous what he really meant, and in my opinion makes it more likely he really did mean anything.
I'll concede that the some goes for "I don't like tomatoes", in that it may, depending on context, be reasonably interpreted as meaning that I don't like most of the tomatoes I've had, but it could just as well be meant in the other way.

If you asked me to visualize a tree with fish hanging from it that a man is catching with a basket while wearing a crown and having one peg leg, and then ask me to think of this image for a minute to remember the way a single kanji is written, truly FEELING the image and imagining myself there, I would be lost. Above is an example of one of the concepts from the DoJG (basic volume) which has had its respective image from the DoJG Anki deck converted to text, added to the DoJG.pdf. It lacks the key sentence and example sentence letter labels, so pretend they are there as I'm going to add them as I go.
I've converted a few dozen concepts so far and are going to start adding them batches, but haven't got a format laid out. The docx version of the DoJG.pdf I am using is done really well, everything properly in styles, so I used two pre-existing styles; one for the 【Notes】/【Related Expression】and one for the body of the Notes text, so tweaking that is just a matter of tweaking the styles.
Question on the format: if that okay for the Notes section or is there a more ideal layout?

Might sound like strange advice but getting into the habit of mindlessly mimicking and blurting out lines and chunks of speech from male characters in Japanese movies can help you become more used to vocalising and slipping in those sorts of things without really thinking about it.
For a shitty anecdote early last year I had a random conversation with a Japanese guy at an airport lounge who was taken back when the person I was waiting for arrived shortly after and I took my jacket and beanie off and started talking to the other person in English, because he only just realised I was a foreigner, which was really amusing for some reason. That was basically on the back of watching a shitload of Japanese movies and chatting with people online, with next to no speaking conversation experience.
With small talk it isn't all that hard because conversations are predictable as shit most of the time. Like a lot of things, really: the more you think about it the harder it is to do.
Bars are a great place for conversation "practice" as drunk Japanese guys don't usually give a fuck if you sound stupid and younger guys will probably be amused just by the fact that you exist.

Most of them are timed to TV broadcasts with ads and stuff, so you'll have to shift them after the OP, eyecatch, and ED. You'll have to look at the sub file and calculate the time difference between the first line of the section in the audio and the sub file and adjust it accordingly with f1/f2 in MPC.
You can also texthook MPC if you're using a 32bit version of MPC, so it can be used with http://pastebin.com/raw/DgZ84qwk for easy lookups (once a line displays once, the texthooker won't pick it up again, at least in my experience).

Most likely http://kitsunekko.net/ it is about the only place to get Japanese subs. Most of them are timed to raws, which includes commercials, so the timing is all messed up. Look for ones that are from DVDs or BluRays or sometimes you can find ones timed to Commie or other sub group releases.

So with the core 2k/6k optimized in Anki is there a way to basically extract those cards or a way to read them in just a simple text format outside of Anki in the order that it presents them? or maybe some other software that has the same cards? I think my issue with Anki is I have learned roughly 300 or so words from it so far, Kanji or otherwise, but I'd like to somehow be able to just view ALL those words at once in a list just to kinda do a recap trough all of them one by one, if I already know them it wouldn't take very long anyway and it's a good refresher and a way to see all of the ones I've studied at a glance.
I have words that won't show up again for another 31+ days, so I won't see those for a while, and yeah even if I know them it's just nice to have a list where I can just scan all 300 that I (should) already know in one quick sitting.

With rikai you can save words to a txt file and it should have the full dictionary read out.
