I'm catching up with Maho. I think this show is really damn good.
When I was watching GoPri I couldn't help but think it was terribly unimaginative, predictable and unexciting, but also that maybe it wasn't necessarily bad, it was just that I had already watched every damn season of precure and that inevitably every subsequent season was going to feel like it was the same shit. I was ready to drop precure the same way I dropped Sentai for more or less the same reason.
But you know, Maho has been really fresh so far and I've loved every episode. Mirai and Riko are really cute and fun together and the three stooges are super cute too. I wouldn't mind them becoming cures, even.
I've come to conclude that GoPri was indeed really bad beyond the obvious superficial aspects.I know some people will think I'm a meanie troll shitposter but whatever.

But I think it was still well produced and entertaining enough. It's just that it doesn't do anything special, it would be a good intro to the franchise because it's essentially "standard Precure". And then people could go watch seasons that actually have something remarkable or out of the norm.

Currently watching Doki at episode 30 as my second Precure after Maho. I think Mana is the best, but I think she's too perfect. Does Cure Ace stay obnoxious until the end? I liked the first episodes but it felt like a chore after she showed up.
