Agreed, at this point I think is more of a meme than areality. Sure, it didn't have quite the thrill of the constant HAPPENINGs and reveals from standard, and the budget constraints were clear, but I think it did good worldbuilding, good character development for Yuya with his road to becme kingu and change the city's ideals and even a bit of character development and foreshadowing for Reiji and Reira, and, though somehwat disconnected from the main plot, Roger and Sergey were a great villain combination. I expect we'll get back to learning more about academia's main scheme and the truth about the Yus from now on.
Plus, I really appreciate that we got card games on motorcycles one last time.
