Playing the VN right now is the anime adaptation any good? Miyako best girl.
It actually fits perfectly with the universal "three episode rule". It's great at first then falls off a cliff after a few episodes.
The manga is surprisingly good, but as you'd expect is too short.

It's pretty fun, but goes off the rails for the second half and isn't a very good adaption considering from episode 2 onwards, it's original stuff, and the tone and characters often seem different.
Still, it's fun. And since you have good taste and like Miyako, I recommend it. Her antics are one of the highlights in the anime and she's one of the few who can be considered in character for its entirety Just don't take it too seriously.
Is it ever stated that Momoyo's stronger than Tesshin-chan? Or the Kawakami temple teachers (e.g. Lu)?

Yeah, Tesshin's too old and not in his prime anymore. In Wanko's route in the original, Lu and him both realize he wouldn't be able to beat Momoyo in an all out fight, after their 11 second sparring match. Lu is also beneath her of course.
By the sequel, he might be able to, since Momoyo had grown lax by that point.
