It was great, love the new transformations.
Shit this actually looks like effort was put in. The character model look like an update of the 1992 anime with a bit of Precure thrown in. And the writing is a bit better with the comedy being back. It's not ultra serious and dramatic as it was but a good balance of what a magical girl story is.

The one series I can honestly say I loved the anime for was Otome Youkai Zakuro (Season 2 fucking never). Golden Time was OKAY, not sure if Kon was to blame or just the source material there though.

I really enjoyed watching the 90's anime.
It's not even nostalgia goggles for me since I never grew up on it, and I only watched it for the first time around 5 years ago.
It's about 200 eps which is pretty intimidating, but the characters, and their interactions, and great direction by many talented people on the crew doesn't make each ep feel like a chore.
It's up to you, if you enjoy slice of life, mostly character driven shows you may enjoy sailor moon.
Old sailor moon filler was forced to flesh out the largely empty characters of the NOT USAGI
Sailor Moon was all about USAGI; even her love interest is pretty much just a handsome cardboard cutout who is mostly there to be part of USAGI'S DESTINY

In all honesty, the 90s anime didn't flesh them out that much. They had like one or two substantial episodes every season. But are you surprised that a series named Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon is mainly about said character?
That said, it always felt shallow even in the 90s anime that these were great friends but they weren't really that fleshed out, especially after the R season in the 90s anime.
