Doesn't look like Pickle knows how the human body works, hence can't be thinking that he's dying like Max Payne or anyone else, because he doesn't know what human organs or bones are. Yes I know he saw Katsumi's bones and shit, but he didn't even understand what ears were when he lost one of his own. He doesn't know basic human anatomy, so he can't be "imagination-hurt" in a normal way.
The fuck did Musashi even do in this page anyway? It looks like he did the standard sword-hands thing, but then changed into the bamboo crush, yet somehow that drew/cut a straight line across Pickle's leg.

But it seems to work on him, just not well. Musashi can't cut him just like he couldn't cut Yuujiro. I wonder how he's gonna get out of this since Pickle won't just stop fighting like Yuujiro did.

I don't remember it like that at all. I remember there was an old guy who fought with no contact hits and everyone just played along. He humiliated his opponents by showing that he would have punched their faces in, until he fought a guy who was faster and his hypothetical attacks landed first, but the old guy pretended they didn't hoping the audience wouldn't notice.

It's nice to see someone with another motivation besides "I want to be the strongest" the only different one before was Baki wanting to be strongest than his father, even if his father was the weakest man in the world.
I liked, as Yujiro said, Strength for Musashi is just a means to an end, and that end is to shine once more through history.
I wonder if this will go somewhere though or if it will just shatter when Musashi is eventually defeated.

I didn't say he wasn't feeling pain, I was saying he wasn't reacting like Einstein or Shibukawa or that one 10TH DAN swordsman did: all of them seemed to get the image that they had been cut *through*, or cut down. They also stop completely for a while to feel the pain, then get back up after "dying". Pickle doesn't really seem to "get" either of those cutting concepts, or dying. I think Itagaki's trying to just portray him as pragmatic.

there's a tool in photoshop since cs5 that like, "guesses" what the pattern is and compelts the images, it can be used to erase people from photos or even fences.

Yeah. I used it. Doesn't work too well with Baki art. I got part of what I needed repaired, but for like every 3 stamps I used, I had to go back with the sampler tool and pencil in ~8 individual pixels. It was really, really stupid and I regret nothing.

Not your fault, it's just the struggle. I really really want these scans to be better than what the series has had in the past, the series deserves it, but we're up against a wall where we are now.

That's basically what our good translator did. He's an American who went over there, learned the language, and got married. He knows all sorts of people (like actual swordsmen) that actually give him a hand with this stuff, it's cool.you can do that too, if you try hard and believe in yourself, I mean it

IIRC Mushashi's philosophy has always been do anything to win. I read somewhere that one of his "tactics" was to taunt the enemy before hand to make them lose their calm and keep them off balance.
