The first 9 episodes or so were decent, but then it went straight to Sword Art Online levels of MC wanking.
What the fuck happened? I liked the fact that it started out as humanity learning that they can fight back by following a reckless retard who's actually really insecure. After he died, suddenly they were completely helpless and could only win battles because Simon was a gary stu for absolutely no reason.
