Dubbed well or not, a shitload of things get lost in the transition from Japanese to English. It's not a coincidence that Japanese is considered the single most difficult language for a native English speak to learn. Guess which language the show is written in and animated to? The languages couldn't be more different from each other if they tried. This holds true when dealing with English subbed anime, too, but at least you maintain Japanese vocal tones, emotional expressions, and some of their culture.
This isn't even getting into the b-rated practices and third rate staffs typical to the anime dubbing industry.
Unless so little work went into the original that it's not really worth translating (i.e. cases like Ghost Stories), the Japanese audio track is always going to be the better option.
