This. We've had literally eight full flashback chapters devoted to the Kirishima family.
Heck, Nishiki's flashback lasted less then one full chapter and he hasn't gotten any since. You know why? Because it's not "that" important.
Who the fuck honestly cares about Arata or Hikari? They got their just deserts. And it's not like Touka/Ayato's tragic past was in anyway unique from the average ghoul. But Ishida still forces himself to spend whole chapters on that shitty past that I really give zero fucks about.
Arata was a betafag that resembled Kaneki to such an extreme (in the same way Touka resembles Hikari to an extreme), that'll Ishida is fuckin shoving it into our face that Touken is endgame. They're have children that will directly resemble fuckin Touka/Hikari and Ayato/Yomo if everything goes to symbolism. I'm hope that route never takes form. It's shit and predictable.

There was Furuta vs Kaneki stuff breaking it up and technically speaking, Yomo's story is only partly Kirishima drama. Filling up the holes of his backstory was welcome and I'm glad Ishida didn't forget about it. Especially since some of it relates directly to Kaneki.

Not that anon, and there's certainly a level of bias in his posts, but don't tell me bringing out Yomo's and Kirishima's drama now of all the times is a good thing. Nothing wrong with exploring characters' backgrounds more, but Ishida decided to do it now when we had old characters back, like Hinami and Banjou, involved already. Also if you try to make them relevant after so many chapters of not seeing them (except for random cameos) and without any foreshadowing or showing things from their perspective, it just feels extremely cheap.
