100%. The fact is, as long as she supresses Madoka's powers, Homura is going to have a really bad time. If Madoka is given her power back (omniscience being a the key one), then Homu suffering is over presumbaly after Madoka kicks her ass and tells he she loves her and where she went wrong. But Homu refuses to let that happen because she believes it will be causing Madoka unhappiness. So as long as her power is suppressed, Homura remains hated and as long as long as Madoka's happiness is the goal, Homu doesnt care.

The blood loss is indeed shown differently, but it appears to come from under her skirt still.
In any case, the wound visible in your gif isn't the source. If any, it's the one on her other side, which I have found only the frame shown here at the bottom. There is much more blood on that side of her skirt than on the other.
But I didn't find the movie scene to be much clearer about where the blood in that very scene came from, and in the series her skirt does not have any blood stains whatsoever.

I'm currently looking at that scene. The belly wound is indeed after that scene. And I don't see any other deep wounds that could have produced that high amount of blood loss (which was more exaggerated in the movie by the way). Right before that scene she was being attacked by huge wheels so it could be that she was hit on her right side. Also. In this scene she's holding her onto her right side so my guess is that she was slashed right there but we don't really get to see the wound.
