Has anyone else noticed recently that well animated cuts are a lot darker than normal cuts, or is it just something wrong with my player?

It's not so much about if a scene is well-animated but any scenes with rapid changes in colour will have a dimming filter applied in accordance with broadcast regulations. This is to prevent any potential seizures. You can thank a certain Pokemon episode for this retarded rule.

Oh, so it's a thing and I'm not going crazy.
Thanks anon.

Oh wow. I've never seen the scene that caused all those seizures. That actually hurts to watch.

I love it.
May also be adaptive brightness if youre on a laptop. Drives me crazy, need to turn it off manually each time I switch to battery.

It's some retarded jap law. I'm sure the producers don't mind it either because it's another reason to buy the BDs.
>>139535949
A handful of epileptics ruining it for everyone. They shouldn't be watching TV in the first place.

Is it really law? I thought it was just some regulations that no one wants to break
>>139537844
It's always a handful ruining it for everyone.

How new are you?
This is all Pokemon's fault and they take it out for the BDs
>>139535949
Reminder that it was Pikachu's fault.

I've been around here since like 2012, I just never really noticed it until now.
