If someone was traveling to Japan in 4 months with no prior knowledge in speaking / reading Japanese, what would be the most important to have them prioritize learning in the time before they go?
Personally I would say:
1) Numbers (for understanding the cash amount something costs when someone verbally says it to you)
2) Transit information (Words for bus, train, monorail, airport etc.)
3)Emergency info (hospital, police, pharmacy, hostel, phone)
4) Basic greetings / phrases

I currently have two decks (2k/6k Core and a deck of mined cards) set to 10 new cards each day. The Core deck usually has just over 250 reviews and takes me just under two hours. I read it, all of it. No trouble with it language wise. It's basically a mystery VN which felt kind of bland to me I guess? Basically it's the type of story where the protagonist has a mysterious power and one day a mysterious girl or in this case, a ghost appears before him and they solve mysteries together. I think what I didn't like about it was that I didn't care too much about the cases they were solving because of how trifling they felt to me. It just felt like filler to me. What really carried the game for me were the heroines and the relationships between the characters. I really really liked Reina and Ouka and don't regret playing the game mostly for them. Also Kusuhara Yui voicing senpai in her Towa voice also kept my attention.

Nah, I was visiting relatives in Hong Kong and chanced upon a Animate subsidiary so I just did all my shopping there.
As for the keyboard, I'm not really into mechanical keyboards or anything but I just bought it when I was building my PC about two years ago because I read that it was good for typing. When I turn on the backlights I can see lots of hair and dandruff underneath though which is fucking disgusting but I'm way too lazy to look for one of those key removers (and I can't find the one that supposedly comes with the keyboard).
For learning kanji, how important is it to know the stoke order??
I learnt it for the kana and to be honest it seemed like a waste of time, it's time I could spend learning vocab or other useful stuff.
