Probably, but that would involve a modicum of talent. This anime seriously doesn't have even a little bit of visual flair or style. The games themselves might not be the most stylish looking things out there, but a little bit of artistic liberty never hurt anyone.
Even Seiji Kishi's cheap adaptations have something like that.

I found it to be so bad that I don't know if I'll be able to stomach more. I have to at least see how Maya and Nick's chemistry is. The biggest issues for me were:
-Poor animation quality
-Bad OST (why not use the game's...?)
-Neckbreak speed pacing that didn't allow for an ounce of build up
-Opening that feels like one of those fan videos where they draw random characters over top of the Lucky Star or FMA openings (no opening at all would have been much better)
-One of the most out of place theme songs I've ever heard
This is the first case, and a literal tutorial trial, but it still gives me zero confidence that they'll do any better with the good ones.
