What I believe unites the people of this nation, regardless of race or region or party, young or old, rich or poor, is the simple, profound belief in opportunity for all - the notion that if you work hard and take responsibility, you can get ahead.

How many new cards per day in anki is a good number to not advance slowly nor get overwhelmed by the number of repetitions you'll get later on? Does it depends heavily on the person?

50 if you're the least beat serious about learning Japanese.
Getting overwhelmed by reps depends on how well you concentrate and remember them. 200 reps of words you can recall is better than having to handle 150 words you hardly remember.
Just make sure to ignore the again% and click again whenever you struggle. Then study those words in a cram session for maximum gains.

The beginning of Flyable Heart is really hard if it's your first native material (or close to it), but you get used to it and you can re-read it after your first route if you want. I hated the dad for the same reason towards the beginning, but I was able to keep up with him when reading the lines towards the end after finishing multiple routes.

未来は誰にも分からない。

I know that this phrase means "Nobody knows the future", but how does it mean that? Translating it literally with the grammar I know (I've only learned Tae Kim's basic grammar so far), it means "Who also knows the future" or something like that, it doesn't make sense.
>>
>>139503381
Open a new lesson, take all the new vocabulary, throw the shit into anki, spend two days with the new cards (first day learning and second day reviewing), then read said lesson. Review older lessons in the meantime.
>>
>>139503381
TK is one of those things that takes such a short time to complete compared to the full amount of time you're going to spend learning Japanese that it doesn't matter. Same as stuff like kana and stroke order.

Just hurry up and be done with it. If you're taking too long then do less anki (or even do none if you want). If you're going too fast through TK and want to slow down just a bit so you can absorb it more then do that.
Just don't spend forever on it. Once you finish then that's when the real game starts and you're in the same boat as 90% where you have to start acquiring vocab and doing reading practice.

if you want to be more literal about it "the future is unknown to anyone"

maybe just that by itself helps you make sense of にも otherwise just keep living your life until it makes sense conceptually regardless of trying to force it into an english translation literally bit for bit

誰でも + affirmative sentence = no matter who it is

誰にも+ negative sentence, negative sentence = nobody

Explaining this is so easy, what the fuck.
>>
>>139505922
Obviously it's about anime because nobody actually says it in real life.

negative sentence, negative imperative sentence*

you russian? i saw some study once that showed everyone gets happier as they age, around 20 being the average worst part of everyone's lives, beyond that continuing to get happier until death. except in russia, where it was the opposite, and around 20 was the happiest time and after that they slowly get more and more depressed until death. but really, you've never met a happy old person? i've only met one of the stereotypical crotchety old person, who had dementia... most of them i've met seem pretty satisfied and jubilant.

Correlation is not equal to causation. More and more depressed people kill themselves as they get older bringing the average happiness level up

i never implied that old age is the reason they're happy, just that in most places, old people generally are happier. also it's not like there's only happy people and suicidally depressed people, there are those in different emotional areas, and non-suicidal depressed people (like the russians in this case) so i doubt those who commit suicide would skew the statistics so much.

Assuming people who kill themselves are the least happy people even if they are a tiny amount removing the outliers with abnormally low happiness will increase the average happiness

Hi /a/
/o/ here wanting to ask someone for a translation. I would normally try google translate but its very unreliable and I'd rather get the authentic symbols from you guys. I want to get a front windshield banner on my car that says "I love big anime titties" in Japanese, but how would that be said using hiragana/Katakana?

They went through High School which covers a lot of the historical terminology we gaijin would struggle with.
Even if you lightly read 小説 you'll still come across 3,000 kanji pretty quickly (Muramasa uses 3,100)
Even natives would "struggle" with Muramasa, in the same sense that you or I would "struggle" reading any 詳しい work regarding something outside our field. Open up random physics pages on wikipedia and try your luck.

Live in the country-ish area. Refuse to drive cars due to various factors. No one nearby will hire, couldn't go to college. NEET. Training on bike and hoping to move and get a job in a city-ish location but no college degree bodes failure.

I'm not sure if you're implying I feel that way, but I certainly don't. It's MY choice not to drive cars (though it is a choice people should be glad I made, I SUCK at driving). It was my choice not to go to college because I didn't want to take loans out (didn't get scholarships). It's not strictly my fault I didn't get hired by the many places I applies but of course it's ultimately my fault for existing.
