It takes a bit to get into. I thought it was retarded fanservice bait at first, but actually got into it at episode 10 or so. I won't say it's deep or anything, but it's entertaining in how ridiculous it gets, and the characters are all written quite well.

It would have been infinitely better if Satsuki was the main character. Ryuko is the one of the most unlikable protaganists I've ever seen and the show stops being about her after ep 12.
KLK was a great entry-level anime to turn away people from watching anime.
