So I just finished this show and I enjoyed it. Really interesting premise, likable characters (especially MC) and I just loved seeing a fantasy world go up against modern tech.
From the look of the conclusion it seems their won't be more, the way it ended with MC tracking down the doujin, like in the begging. But it seems so untapped, I wanted to see the story play out of the other nations competing over the special district.
So how can we make enough hype to get another series? Or can anyone recommend me a similar show?

Well there are plenty of source material (novel) I think so another season is a possibility.
I'd like more, since it'd be the fastest way to get more in any way, with the manga as slow as it is, and with the light novel translations paused, but it is a bummer that so much stuff is excluded in the anime, but I guess that's just the way it is with time restrains and stuff.

It's pretty similar, as in otaku MC, elf (half elf) heroine, and fantasy meets modern. But it's much more light hearted than GATE. It's pretty cool, you should try it.

I really liked in season 1 but after season 1 ended and I read the manga and looked back on it I realized it is a really mediocre story.
I can't honestly call it good anymore. Too many tropes, too shallow characters, WAY too predictable.
I enjoyed it but it doesn't deserve anymore. Hell if it ended with season 1 I could still pretend it was better than it was.

GATE had some cool moments, the battles were specially satisfying, Rory going owning noobs and Kuribayashi being all badass, just perfect.
