The series needs more magic I also find it strange no one has asked Lelei and her teacher how to learn it. At first Lelei seemed pretty weak and was somewhat of a rarity being the only magician in the kingdom but as soon as we get to Rondel we're told there are tons of magicians. Then she starts blasting through walls and zooming around on a broom when previously her magic took longer to summon and she could only make items weightless. Why aren't there enemies like that.

I loved the show and for the most part a modern army should steamroll over a fantasy army any day, maybe not to the extent GATE showcases(literally 0 casualties while empire forces take over 300,000 easily).
The biggest issue for the show was magic. It is easily the biggest threat to japanese forces but no one seems fucking interested. At one point it's revealed that literal demigods and gods walk the earth. Japan gives no fucks. At no point did they bother asking Leilei to explain how magic works. For a show that heavily showcases the japanese forces learning every in and out of their enemy (like instead of instakilling a dragon they kite and play with it to learn it's combat capabilities) they take zero fucking initiative in magic or gods

The graph is very misleading. For starters, most Hispanics are white, they just look a bit bronzy because they lived in Mexico, not Alaska.

All these are true, but the fact that you don't see simple basic spells used in daily life, implied that magic had to be genetic at some level. Because if anyone can use magic, then most people would have learned at least something simple that helps them day to day.

That depends on the difficulty though. Suppose it's university level stuff, where the first few years you have to learn the basics of how magic works, after which you first learn some useless toy spells to demonstrate how the different parts of the theory come together, and you're in your fourth year before you get good enough to be able to do a simple fireball or anti-gravity spell.
