It's set in a world where the waters never receded after God flooded the world, and it takes place entirely on an upside down Noah's ark - it's been so long that nobody can even remember what happened and the little girl is the only one left who still has any faith left. The man wants to break her faith so he destroys the egg, but she still gets rewarded by becoming part of the floating God-eye thing.
