Dumping a few chapters of Sangokushi whenever I have time now that it's completely translated.
Recap of story last time: Yuan Shu's attack on Xuzhou, Lu Bu's lands, ends in failure.
For those who don't know what this is, it's a faithful adaptation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Yokoyama Mitsuteru, the mangaka of Tetsujin 28, Giant Robo, Mars, etc. The art isn't amazing but if you've ever wanted to get into Three Kingdoms but didn't feel like slogging through book, reading this is the easiest way. The 2010 Chinese TV series was alright too, but that skips out on some fun arcs.

I gotta start Sangokushi. I pretty much read everything you put out Hox, I pretty much became a huge fan because of Fukumoto translations (and Punpun) but this is intriguing

Yeah, please do give it a try. It's definitely not a stuffy old classic. It's got plenty of funny and exciting moments even for the modern reader.
>do job competently and dutifully
>boss calls you into his office one day
>kindly asks you to die as a scapegoat so as to improve employee morale
Unluckiest guy ever.
He didn't do nothing wrong

Yeah, it's a classic "Cao Cao" incident for sure. Can't help but admire him even if you disagree with his morals.
Who would win in a fist fight historically, Cao Cao or Liu Bei

I'd say Cao Cao? He supposedly was a bit of a hooligan in his younger days so I'd imagine he had more chances to get in a fistfight, whereas Liu Bei was probably more busy weaving straw mats than getting into fights.

Alright but who would win in an Ultimate Surrender match
Cao Cao sure took heavy losses.
I wonder where his allies Liu Bei and Lu Bu went.
And that's the end of this volume. More Cao Cao focus next volume.
