yeah, I wouldn't say they're very alike now. but I think when the newkatsus debuted, I really wanted a character more similar to Yurika-sama. Sumire was the closest, because she was also into supernatural stuff (like the positive readings) and like gothic lolita. I think, for me at least, she didn't really embody the character I was hoping for so I ended up comparing her to other idols.

I'm a big akari fan, but even after the SQC, she hasn't caught up to Ichigo's level. it's kind of sad that we'll never see her reach that. there's something really wonderful about seeing an idol reach the top after starting from absolutely nothing. Fellow first dayer here. I had no clue what I was getting into, I thought it'd be boring because of the OP, but I stuck to it because that season had very good moeshit and decent shoujo. Hidamari Honeycomb, Kamisama Kiss, Kaibutsu-kun, Hiiro no Kakera, Busou Shinki, Sukitte Ii nayo, Haitai Nanafa, and a few other great series that don't fit the description like Teekyuu and Magi, with Smile Precure blasting on the background. It really was an amazing season.
I'm not sure how I feel now that it's ending, but I'm looking forward to Stars. Hopefully it won't pull a Yumeiro Pattissiere and turn to shit when the setting changes.

I was laughing instead of crying. Indeed, it was Aikatsu, it was fun. This show is genius.
Holy shit guys.
The last song wasn't Signalize! but that's okay. The last episode was probably the best episode of the Akari Generation if not Aikatsu! as a whole. The mountain climb, the return of the axes, aphorism coming back one last time, an the post credits sequence all worked to wrap up Aikatsu! nicely.
I'll miss you show but I look forward to seeing what Stars has in store for us.
