I don't do number scores but most recent show I've enjoyed to a really high degree has been Rakugo. Really anxious to see the ending on Friday. Before that, like Somera-chan, Eupho and Yuri Kuma Arashi.

Really? I liked Kaiji but some scenes carried on for way too long. The visuals and direction told us a lot about what the characters were thinking and feeling, or the reasons behind their actions, but they constantly felt the need to have another character explain things over and over again.

That's why I said it came close. I don't dislike this story-telling, for the most part it's done to sound dramatic rather than lazily spoonfeeding the watcher, but some parts of the show were a lot weaker and some strategies were kinda dumb.
Kaiji's character is 10/10 though
