The first season, has a romance between the male MC Tsutomu and one of his classmates. Birdy plays kind of a big sister role and encourages him to follow through with it. Things happen towards the end of the season.
The second season has a romance between Birdy and a childhood friend of hers, but things get a lot more complicated than that.

It's not that kind of series. There's never any romantic undertones to Birdy and Tsutomu's relationship. Like I said, the closest analog is that of a big sister.
