What did you guys think of Samurai Flamenco? I just got around to watching it, and I had a blast. While it had some low points and felt a little cluttered at times, I think the show had a real charm to it.

I absolutely adore it. It was one hell of an experience watching it with /a/. I loved how, even though the events of the story were really, really outlandish and kept snapping from one genre to another, there was a very genuine and human quality to the characters. It made them very relatable and made me really care about them.

It was glorious. The threads started out peaceful because people didn't like the mundanity of the show, but the threads were steadily becoming more populated because the story was flowing really well. And then, just when there was enough of an audience in the threads to make a noise, Mutilating Mandrill appeared.

The show went from having an low-average level of attention on /a/ to being the dankest meme in a snap.
A lot of people were speculating if the whole thing was going to be revealed as just a dream the next episode, or the one after that. Felt a bit surreal to realize that King Torture and his minions were all a real thing that was happening.

I really need to finish watching it one of these days. I didn't get past the early-mid of the run so I've yet to see the BATSHIT INSANE parts /a/ hypes up, though I like what I've seen so far even if the yaoi tension is palpable.
It was the last true wild ride with /a/, I miss it dearly.

I have some desperate hopes for Macross Delta. I'd also say the final episode of One Punch Man had some pretty intense /a/ moments but-yeah, as a whole it just wasn't the same as what I've heard the SamFlam craze was like
