Like a cringe aminu version of X-Files where they reveal the solution to the mystery to the viewers before the MCs have solved it taking all of the suspense out of each episode and forcing the MCs to act retarded to not be able to figure out the obvious.
It's an illusion designed to make the viewer feel smarter than the MCs and basically suck the viewer's figurative ego-cock. Bake and Ergo are a couple of other series that do the same exact thing, it's a way to sell. It's trash.

the original 2 movies, SAC and Arise are completley different canon and doesn't relate to eachother except the similar names of the main characters. You should watch the 1995 movie, Innocence, SAC season 1 and SAC 2nd GiG(season 2), both are amazing. Ignore Arise, it sucks.

2nd GiG is better than season 1 imo, I would give Solid State Society a 6, maybe 7/10 at most, I get really fucking pissed off with all the set up for a season 3 that never happened.

Original movie is shit. Sure it was revolutionary for its time, but the concepts have been presented so much better in modern movies and shows. Ghost in the shell had barely any plot, no character development, and weak action. The only reason it was so "good" was because the whole robot being human, dystopian future bullshit was new back then, and all they had to do was allude to it and made subtle hints at it any everyone got wet. Makes me sick and reminds me of highschool english essays. Matrix > ghost in the shell.
Stand alone complex was actually good though.
