Why isn't this show more popular?
Did something go wrong?
It's popular as fuck on /a/.
>>139288882
Everything.
>>139288882
>>139288932
>Yuri
It's for dickless faggots.
It's garbage. It tried to due the whole edgy part of being a hero so much that it basically mocking it and the audience watching it.
Basically it over did it. This isn't Madoka where urobutcher twists noble causes into hypocritical and selfish ideals like everything else in the world. It's just "Heroes are shit and nothing but ideals of fantasy" The end.
>>139288882
Atrocious second half.
>>139288882
Made by a known bottom of the barrel shit tier writer.
>>139288882
Pleiades was the better magical girl show that year
>>139290362
Man, what a great show that was.
If I want to watch Madoka, I will watch Madoka.
Not some shitty ripoff.
Who would win in a fight the girls from Yuuki Yuna or the girls from Madoka?
>>139288882
It's popular enough.
Shit pacing.
Ending.
No one has read 'All Quiet on the Western Front'.
>>139290362
I didn't like it at all, honestly.
>>139288882
It's at a good level of popularity where there are threads whenever new content comes out, but not shitposting threads every single day talking about nothing.
>>139290608
Yuushas are literally immortal whereas megucas have a very visible weak spot
>>139290404
>>139290362
RIP Gainax.
They make you emotionally invest in cute girls. They then cripple said girls, but it's ok we're gonna put you back in square one.
YuYuYu > Madoka
There hasn't been a single good mahou shoujo since Madoka, and Madoka was shit. Literally killed the genre.
>>139291970
Illya.
>>139291996
Oh maybe, I've always just skipped it because I feel like I'm supposed to read shit first if I wanna watch type moon anime.
>>139288882
It's a blatant Madoka clone with no soul. The former I can forgive, the latter I can't.
>>139291714
How so?
Do you also think Ratatoing>Ratatouille?
>>139288882
It was pretty meh.
>>139288882
It was okay. The characters felt more archetypical than in Madoka. I liked the flower theme and the idea of the tree but I wish it was explored more. Don't mean to compare so much but I actually liked the girls' "sacrifice" more than what Madoka did but I only really cared about the blue girl and Itsuki. Yuuna was really bland and so I didn't feel much for her. I liked the twists and the final fight but not so much the epilogue. Wish the tsundere wasn't in it at all.
Also the fanservice felt really, really out-of-place.
>>139291996
He said good.
strangely enough I found this on netflix yesterday, so it can't be bad
>>139288882
It was a show that wanted it all and wanted to look smart doing it, rather than sticking to a nice, simple premise and working on doing it well. PMMM messed with its audience but at least it never condescended to it.
>>139288882
I own the Blu-rays
>>139290647
explain
>>139288882
Would have been better without all the shitty suffering.
>>139288882
It sold well and was probably the biggest surprise of the year.
Easily my favourite thing to come out in recent memory
It's a nice show but it looks generic and the end wasn't well done.
The story is better than Meduka but the execution is worse.
I thought wheelchair-chan was lame, but then I saw she was stacked, so she wasn't that bad anymore.
The suffering.
>>139298992
>wheelchair-chan
>lame
I suppose you think you're pretty fucking clever, don't you.
Suffering was erased in the last episode, and Wheelchair-chan was considered "in the wrong" for wanting to destroy their terrible husk of a "world".
Tougou did nothing wrong.
>>139299500
I'd actually imagine that in itself would account for a chunk of its popularity, purely on the backs of that whole NEET nationalist crowd.
>no one questioned all the 2go's suicide attempts
>>139288882
Where were you when it was airing ? It had a lot of circlejerk on /a/
>>139299759
>>139299802
To be fair, the whole psychological road to and aftermath of suicide attempts are piss poorly handled in any pretty much anime that uses it. This is awful, but it's par.
It has a general on /u/.
