It's fine if they built him up to by the Italian father of a small community of professionals, but his personality didn't even progress to t his. I think because it was cancelled the author didn't want to reveal any progress gained at all, also the baby transformations to adult should of had more impact / occurred sooner.
Protagonist finale match was mundane as well, for being shot with magical bullets a lot of logic was too dumb to swallow.

That theme was ok for a comedy manga, but doesn't work for battle shonen. Mafia means murder, blackmail, drug traffic, was this the final game for Tsuna?
It was so awkward how the maga tried to pretend that they were the good guys without ever giving us a proper background, the term mafia had no meaning even though it was the theme of the entire manga.
