Hold shift for focused movement. Or watch a few shows you were iffy on and skipped during the season now that you have time, and catch the last of their threads. Sometimes you stumble on something you regret not watching sooner, but at least still have time to get in a word while people are up for talking about it.
For example if you care about KyoAni and want to discuss their modern state, you should at least see what they've been doing lately i.e Phantom World, so you may weigh in on how much they deserve/don't deserve the flak.
