Don't ever respond to me again unless you have something to contribute to this thread.

Keep it because its a good anime but be forewarned that once you think you understand whats going on its ends on a completely different note which ruins the ending imo.

okay fampai

I'm just screwing around. I didn't like it, felt Texhnolyzed handled it's themes better. Worth watching though.

>its a good anime
Why?
>once you think you understand whats going on
I never understood a thing about it.

It's just a very philosophical anime. I felt like it touched on some Gnostic or Neoplatonic themes.
>>139258676
Awful. It's like the writer took an "Intro to Modern Philosophy" class and decided to make an anime based on an elementary understanding of the first three lectures.
>>139263963
OK!
Thanks for showing me this other series.

>philosophical anime
Can you explain to me the philosophy of the anime? I could not understand it!
It was ok. Extremely pretentious though. Not as "deep" as it tries it's hardest to be.

I'd disagree. Texhnolyze focuses more on Nihilism while Ergo Proxy (obviously) is a Cartesian anime. If you want a good Cartesian anime I'd recommend Kaiba,

>>139264296
I prefer my anime non-euclidean.
>>139264057
I, OP, agree!
>>139264057
This, At first I was intrigued but it fumbles through its concepts and it shifts gears too often. It's different and worth watching once. The dialog and characters are pretty weak and the plot isn't anything too exciting either. You should keep it but don't expect much.

So you enjoyed TTGL?

I, OP, agree.

From what I got from it Vincent Law represents a kind of every man figure who leaves the safety of Romdeau which represents our own subjective comfort zone and cognitive biases into the wider world. The Cogito virus is analogous to the soul or nous, the statues of classical gods are demiurge figures that speak for RE-L's grandfather, the administrator and the ending where Romdeau opens up as the earth is eventually shown to be habitable again is analogous to the cosmic egg found in various world religions.
Or I could be wrong. I don't know, I was high the entire time I watched it.

Kaiba was amazing dude. I reccomend the shit out of that.
Did anyone else feel like this show looked western as fuck? the way the episodes opened with the credits at the bottom and just the look of everything. It made the show feel more boring than it actually was.
COME AND
