Because when it comes down to it, your only complaint is that it's a "taken to another world" series. For something like this, having the MC be from that world anyway holds no advantages and makes it more difficult to justify anything he doesn't know about the world. Its more of a fantasy novel. You have a perfectly healthy and normal Male MC that was forcibly warped/teleported into another world. He is also bound to some sort of "curse" that prevents him from dying and repeatedly die and suffer until he finds out the "good end route" that will let him advance his save point. Basically, a world of no smiles, only tears.
I've picked it up for the main female lead but still following just to see MC's pure and innocent smile return back every arc.
