Next week Young King OURS will release the final chapter of Mizukami Satoshi's Spirit Circle. We're rereading the entire manga in anticipation, and also to attract translators because Crunchy will probably forget it again.
Earlier chapters on patato http://bato.to/reader#a6475e7f786ba879_2 or last thread >>139163299 or goddess. If you want to catch up, Duralumin's chapters (up to 22) are on batoto or his site duratrans.tumblr.com and old crunchy rips from 22 on are on nyaa.

My connection is not doing so well tonight.
Remember to purchase Spirit Circle in physical, untranslated form at http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4785939834 for 617 yen plus shipping for vol. 1 and less per volume for the ones after.
Contact Mizukami at https://twitter.com/nekogaeru and let him know how much we appreciate him. If anyone can find his editor, post their twitter too.
Did you start at the time you wanted to today?
>>139217503
Had connection problems. Shooting for a little earlier.
>>139217609
What DOES it even mean? It's Nono? Fortuna shouldn't even know.
>>139217609
Why should he know?
>>139217336
>>139217379
Rune is totally going to be a otaku cosplayer when she's human
>>139218149
>Flors is the eldest son
So there was another butthurt younger brother we didn't to see in this life?
>>139218245
What if butthurt brother's spirit journey starts in Fuuta's timeline and he grows up to be an absolute jerk?
>>139218475
That camel has a horse's head.
>>139218780
>Blood trail runs from Fuuta's body and connects to Koko's head
Damn, that's a really cool panel.
>>139218984
Oh, that's neat.
So with the moderate success of this manga, do you think we're going to finally see a Mizukami anime?
>>139219198
Was it that successful?
>>139219198
Someone posted a JP poll in a previous thread for manga people most want to see an adaptation of, and Biscuit Hammer took first place.
How successful is Spirit Circle?
>>139219354
Fuck I want an adaptation for all Mizukami stuff. Hell even Psyco Staff would be great.
>Contact Mizukami at his twitter
Does he know English? All of his tweets are Japanese.
Also, this is my first Mizukami manga. Are his other ones similar to this one? If so, where should I start?
>>139219539
All of his manga have some different concepts with them, but usually have similar themes. Hoshi no Samidare is a good start and is a classic /a/ favorite.
>>139219539
If the thread for the final chapter is big enough maybe we can all write something and someone can tweet him an image? Has /a/ done that before?
>>139219647
That's a nice way to start reconciling, Roca. Blame it all on him, that'll get him on board.
>>139219539
He doesn't seem to speak much English at all but if you put your heart into it your feelings will surely reach him.
>>139219539
If by similar you mean that one reaction where the characters are staring at some ridiculous thing with mouth agape, then yes.
>>139219827
Well, sign me up then.
>>139219827
Also, Mizukami draws three faces and mixes it up with glasses and ponytails. A Mizukami face generator would be trivial. They're similar that way too.
>>139220076
Nice subtle Jojo reference.
>>139220156
That's not exactly fair, considering how all the characters in this series have unique faces, enough to tell them the same between incarnations.
>>139220284
Yeah, it works really well. Maybe I should have said features? Five or six types of eye, hair, mouth, and they're drawn very precisely.
>>139220311
I wonder if he could have done something if he'd told her.
Won't someone remember his name?
Hmm, when Fuuta is playing video games with Kouko his scar appears fainter.
Is this intentional, as we see later in the series the fading of the scar is indicative of the curse being resolved/weakened? Or is this just a scanning/art thing?
>>139220623
Every life his scar fades a little more.
>>139220786
Makes sense
I just thought it was particularly noticeable in the scenes where he was having fun with Kouko
Long-haired Roca is the cutest Koko.
>>139220806
Looks the same between ch.1 and the gaming scene. The scar stays the same for one timeline (until the last few chapters I think?)
>>139220920
This is his worst life.
Caught in his angst, couldn't make a woman happy, fucked it all up in general.
I hate reading this arc.
>>139220992
Pretty sure Fortuna is worst.
>>139220992
It's hard for me too. This is the part of the story where I feel most connected to how Fuuta feels. Which doesn't say anything good about my life.
>>139221066
Fortuna actually had it pretty well. He had this niggling doubt that maybe he didn't understand people, but Flors knew exactly what he had done wrong. He felt like he deserved to die alone.
>>139220992
Aye, this life is just depressing.
>>139221066
In Fortuna he still lived a happy life with his friends for a while before every fall apart because of his experiment and sacrifices, even then he's still happy in his research and wasn't all that filled with grief.
>>139219647
Koko is so bitchy in every lifetime.
>>139221244
This page always makes me laugh, despite how depressing the story is.
>>139221306
Stubborn as a rock.
>>139221306
She doesn't always wear sheath dresses though.
I wish i could write stories.i just need to draft stuff.
>>139221370
Books on writing help out a lot. Check the /lit/ sticky if you don't have a decent library or can't afford to buy books.
>>139221357
Have we seen his son anywhere else?
Wait, is he the nasty brother?
>>139221244
I wonder what the raw said for it to translate into "epic fail"
>>139221532
Aye.
>>139221449
>becomes her young self
;_;
>>139221771
DID he show her the happiness she deserved?
>>139221858
Find out in the next life.
>>139221858
Life after next.
>>139221913
>>139221936
Oh yeah, forgot about that. For some reason, I keep forgetting about his life as Japanese guy.
>>139222116
I wonder if Umi and Mashiro will get together in this life aswell, they're related afterall.
>>139221771
>>139221818
I'm curious as to the significance of these pages.
>>139222476
Come off it, Koko. Your lives all died quick.
>>139222463
The cat's magical. Could be involved with the time-traveling sphinx robot Umi builds in the future, or with the dimension-hopping aliens that could be anybody, or it could just be a magic cat.
That's it for tonight. Come back tomorrow for gory samurai fights and an even more emotional death.
>>139222908
WHAT DOES SHE KNOW
>>139217800
Well, Fortuna's a proud genius and Fuuta's him. Maybe Fortuna just expects himself to know the spirit of the planet.
>>139221449
Depressing as fuck life.
>>139222968
Thank you anon.
>>139217800
It felt like there was supposed to be some conflict with Spascifica before he got to Fortuna's flashback, but it never happened.
Thanks again, OP.
>>139222968
pretty sure she explains that later on
>>139222968
Much thanks.
>>139222968
Thank you.
>>139223206
There was some stuff in the future timeline where Spacifica opposed the Fuuta there, but that timeline is in the future so I dunno.
>>139221571
へたくちょ
>Sengoku Youko probably ending soon
>spirit circle about to as well
Whats next for based Satoshi
>>139223206
That would make sense. We should ask him if he had to cut anything.
>>139223312
Going by what he's done before, nothing like what he's done before.
>>139223311
Thanks.
>>139223312
>Sengoku Youko probably ending soon
In two chapters.
>>139221890
Legit got teary eyed the first time I read this.
>>139223413
Rune could have been all airheaded and bouncy but she wasn't.
>>139220156
>Roca wants to stop them from causing each other suffering again
>Flors is only called Sphinx after this and he hates it
>Roca is executed because of the Sphinx
They don't even have to try.
>>139222476
Savage
I can't imagine life like this.
>>139221890
That shit gets me every time.
Someone you love dies.
You never see them in various circles.
Sometimes you marry them, they're related to you, your child, etc. Damn this manga and the feels.
>>139216824
>That OP
Fuck off generals are not allowed
>>139223311
Inflection aside, "It's shit" would have been more appropriate.
>>139224739
>DJT
>OPT
>Buyfag
>/ai/
>It's Time
Could have fooled me, anon.
Besides, it's not a general, it's a special event.
>>139223546
Do you think you're better off?
>>139216824
Fuck I missed previous two dumps
>>139223502
A lot of the lives after the first one, and before the last one, are exercises in the futility of it all. Vann lives a long and, if not totally fulfilling then, satisfactory life after being cursed by the witch, and dies by falling over and hitting his head. Flors and Roca barely interact beyond talking, though he blames her for being kept too long and missing his father's death. Lapis and Lafalle are actually good friends and raise a kid together before coming to conflict, which is ultimately unimportant after some other disaster prevents their fight from going anywhere. Fuuko and Shakuji have absolutely no conflict at all. Vann and Flors have a bit more hatred for their respective Koko counterparts, but they were relatively small parts of their lives compared to Fone and Fortuna.
A lot of Mizukami's works focus on the pointlessness of conflict and undercutting the melodrama of it all, which is a bit odd considering how full of emotionally moving moments they are. They give a feeling of bittersweet good endings that, nevertheless, feel kind of like all the bad things people were afraid of happening weren't ever really going to happen or even possible. The end of Biscuit Hammer and several of the boss fights in Sengoku Youkoand the recent conclusion to the Fortuna/Koko fight in Spirit Circleare all full of the face mentioned here >>139219827, which are usually accompanying someone's big dramatic plans completely falling on their face after a lot of serious buildup.
>>139219539
This is by far his best work everything else he's done is pretty good though.
Poor Nono, she only wins the daughterubowl and never the fuutabowl
>>139229837
There's always the next life, anon.
