Practice every day. Grab a stack of paper and just rip into that shit. Don't worry about wasting any of it.

try gesture sketching a lot. go on a site like quickposes and time it for 60 seconds and try to draw what you see as quickly as possible. over time you'll get the idea of how the body works. then try to reference some booru pics and you'll be game homey. check out /ic/ from time to time for challenges, and read books like vilppu or bridgmann, and an anatomy book. once you go through that some art groups and forums would help you with criticisms.
just try to focus on it and hold on to that passion. it's important not to drop off or you'll lose your skills. do it daily. take breaks.
