Try the LNs. The anime was good, but it squeezed 6 full volumes and half of the 7th into 12 episodes. The girls also really start falling for MC at the point the anime ended, when the actual plot of the series starts kicking in a lot. The series really needs more seasons, but that probably wont happen. The LN is pretty popular, but the anime got poor sales.

There are plenty of reasons why the girls like Rito. He is:
Very good looking in their universe (multiple girls has commented on it, and he looks a lot like Yui's brother who is a playboy).
Very reliable and responsible. Not just with the ordinary stuff like taking care of the house but he also has a daughter (Celine) which he parents, and has saved a bunch of the girls from danger before.
Athletic. Plays football really well, fast runner, really strong (can pick the girls up and run with them bridal carry style).
Kind. I think most of the girls have talked with him about their problems and he has listened and helped them. He is also pretty decisive in the situations where it actually counts. To the girls like Yami, Mea and Nemesis he was the first person they met to care about them after they became assassins.
Some say his family is rich. Not sure if that is true but both his mom and dad are famous and out working all the time, so it might be true.
You might say that Rito is bland (and I would kind of agree), but if you think that the girls have no reason to like him then you're dead wrong. If Rito was in real life then he would be drowning in pussy, just like in the show. Hell, just one of the reasons listed would be enough to get him girls in real life.
