i would say its 'classic 4chan' which i define as -
edgy kids get contrarian boners over publicly hating things. the more popular the better. the whole 4chan interface is set up to facilitate this nonstop with almost no filter, no punishment and no policing mechanism.
non-edgy people are just paranoid of expressing interest in anything because an edgy kid will instantly reply to call them retarded and demand they defend liking X.
over time this creates an illusion that nobody actually likes anything or that the overall tone is pessimist. this is also why we have generals, since people who come here to enjoy time with fans are basicallly frightened and/or repulsed out of the commons, and into safe spaces with people who share their enjoyment of thing X.

But there's not nearly enough moeshit airing now. It was so dry this season and next season could be hit or miss.
Gonna watch everything moe/slice of life and obviously shorts, then give maybe 10 or 20 other shows a try and drop them all, lest I get too far into them and bitch that I have to continue watching that garbageDimension W.
