I have only ever bought gunpla, since most of the anime merch they sell is cheap shit from China, a few over priced figs and whatever licensed anime/manga is popular at the time (SAO and AoT last time I went). It's an alright store and the ladies that run it seem nice enough. Figures are definitely more expensive than buying them from Japan yourself, but the gunpla is decently priced and comes out to about the same cost as buying and shipping from Japan, but their selection is small.
