Okay I'm come across something rewatching GitS today. Anyone know who "Flower Gas Melody" is? Is this a lesser known Japanese rock band?

Upper picture is Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Episode 9, and the lower is from Angel Beats.don't remember the episode
Which puts it at least 7 years apart, and I've not noticed any connection between the two series person wise.

A bit more digging, found it in another anime Charlotte. But that is by the same guy who did Angel Beats (Jun Maeda), So why is it in GitS which was created by Kenji Kamiyama?
Closet I can find is that P.A. Works worked on GitS SaS, but that is it.

Interesting but I have no clue.
Sparked my curiousity.
Common animators, crew?
Is it a yoko kanno thing?

I tried checking that. But Yoko didn't have anything to do with Angel Beats that I know of. And the band in GitS is clearly men.
Very cool, Ill look up more about this. We need more threads like these :)
So after some more searching, the song that plays during the part in Ghost in the shell is "Trip City" composed by Yoko, written by Tim Jensen and sung by of course Scott Matthew

The Lyrics really don't translate over to Angel Beats.
I am not able to do translations, only two I found related to it.
The first one seems to mention a name and possibly another band, the second is just someone asking if there is a relation I think.
>FLOWER GAS MELODY

Screwing around with those translations lead me to this.
>Psycho le Cému
