Pretty sure the guy making those threads (same as the Nisekoi "DROPPED" threads) was an RHS dev. Fuuka stopped having weekly threads for a while after RHS died too.

I see where you're coming from. I'm not entirely convinced, but it's not all that unlikely a scenario either.
I think the lack of weekly threads might just have to do with the chapters suddenly becoming less obviously accessible, until they noticed that you can usually get the Crunchyroll rips through Nyaa pretty quickly.
