Anyone else just kind of stopped caring the last few episodes? The way they just skipped Wiz and had this awkward haunted house with 10 sec flashback episode and the sudden Destroyer appearing really killed the fun.

3 arcs skipped
1) Wiz meeting in the graveyard, considering how important she was for the last two arcs (getting the house and vs the destroyer) they probably should have found some way to get her in for half an episode somewhere at least.
2) party swap; while generally unimportant for the later arcs, it does introduce dust and company so again they wouldn't just pop out of nowhere in the last few episodes of this anime. Personally of all of the Konosuba sidestories this one is probably the funniest, and i really wish they had found a way to squeeze it in.
3) Dungeon plunge by Kazuma and Aqua; this one has little to nothing to do with the plot of volume 2, it does not introduce any special characters, nor does it illuminate much about the character of anyone. What it does do however is introduce that dungeon to the reader setting up the Vanir arc in volume 3, as it takes place in the same dungeon, as well as it formally makes it 100% clear that undead are attracted to Aqua, which of course will set up some humorous events in later volumes (which would not be anywhere near as funny without this knowledge). Of all of the skipped content this was EASILY the most inconsequential; and therefor skippable.
I suspect the two OVAs will cover the party swap and meeting wiz in the graveyard.

ep 7 - destroyer quest is on the quest board; kazuma reads about the details "the mobiles fortress destroyer is approaching we need scouts to determine its path" and asks "what is the destroyer?" to which darkness replies "the destroyer is the destroyer, a mobile fortress that moves at high speed" and megumin answers "it lumbers about destroying everything in its path, and is oddly popular with children", and kazuma deadpans "i don't get it"
ep 9 - Megumin in her chuuni chess match with Darkness mentions wiping out darkness's teleporting her piece and punctuates this move with the shout "destroyer explosion!"
ep 9 - Aqua mimics the mobile fortress destroyer with her hands, it's hidden by Kazuma's head but both darkness and megumin get excited and declare it's a great mimic, Kazuma watches with a confused look and repeats "again what is this destroyer?!"
So it's not like this thing just showed up. In the light novel the Mobile Fortress Destroyer is mentioned a few more times that isn't shown in the anime, but basically it shows up the same way, as a surprise emergency.

1) Darkness suffered in the anime due to the way they adapted the ln. in the first LN darkness is introduced too late to get any real development, so she's basically a gag character in the first book. The 2nd book establishes more of her "knight/crusader" personality, and many slice of life scenes in which kazuma bullies darkness into deep blushes and shyness were skipped in the anime, making her seem more 1 note then she was in the LN, that said Darkness' main character arc doesn't happen till volume 3. Thats the point her character is filled out a bit more, and she mostly stops being a one note joke.
2) Megumin in the LN is mostly there for sillyness, finishing blows and yunyun bullying, it isn't till the crimson demon village she fills out into best girl in the series. She was never a particularly funny character, and her role in the comedy strangely enough is fairly similar to kazuma's as she plays the straight man whenever he's off screen.

sorta, the only volume that is fully translated thus far that does not end in a boss battle is volumes 3 and 6. Volume 3 sports the boss battle early in the book. Volume 6 doesn't have a boss battle at all, but still has kazuma's greatest moment of awesome in the story thus far.
