Guts has fought agile master swordsmen in the past where the situation favors his opponent, yet no human being is any match for him at this point. A. All of those swords (if I'm not mistaken) are not European. Therefore, the quality of steel is vastly superior. Japanese had to temper and fold the steel in order for it to be effective. European blacksmiths didn't have to fold as much due to the purity. Also, if you look at the specs for the Dragonslayer, there is no fucking way the reverse blade would even scratch it. (pic related)

Gut's durability without the armour is insane, he literally killed 100 men pre-dragon slayer. He could kill probably 200 before he gases, then the armour would just keep goingggg. I think you're underestimating them anon. We've seen that Zodd and count can regenerate lost limbs, they can survive absurd damage (count lived after getting his head cut off and stabbed in it multiple times, Wyald lived after getting a sword through his neck and a knife in his eye, Roshinu lived after getting hit by a cannon, and getting almost split in half and so on). They also have monstrous speed and strength, and most have more going for them in terms of attack than just "I'm going to smash you with my huge arms".
Don't forget they also often have some more unique skills. Roshinu could fly at supersonic speeds, Ganishka could fry people with lightening and was literally untouchable, Grundbeld had almost unvreakable skin and could breath fire, Rakshas could literally blend into shadow and so on. Also many of them serve in the Neo band of the hawk, so they clearly know a thing or two about combat as well.
So it's definitely more than just fighting a giant animal

Remember that Kenshin is using Japanese steel made from pig iron; very brittle compared to the "European" equipment guts uses. One strike hitting direct on to Guts' armor or a sword clash and Kenshin's blade breaks. Guts has shown to be incredibly fast at maneuvering his blade and pragmatic with his armor, so even with Kenshin's speed I doubt he could finish guts off before the balde breaks. Not to mentions guts has a large range of equipment options from a cannon to bombs, to a crossbow.
tl;dr: Definitely the same skill league, but Guts' equipment is far superior and would cinch him the win.
