next week
>>138984633
mukuro a cute
Subs out.
>>138983712
So Kamui isn't just a natural born psycho and now he's a result of mommy issues?
>>138985113
They always hinted that Kamui's problem came from her mother's dead.
>>138985222
*his
>>138985091
Wow
Soon today
>Oh it's Gintama thread
>10 Replies, okay, let's see if the subs out, you know, curious
>It's out
Really guys?
>>138985222
>>138985241
I just thought it'd be more interesting if he was naturally a beast instead of more cheap drama to add sympathy
>>138985256
More than 30 minutes sooner today
Minna
Shit writing all over the place.
Gintama has been such a let down for the last 100 episodes.
This was nice stylistic choice.
>>138985690
Rest in peace best boy
And next weekThe End
>>138985711
It's sad to see it goYet at the same time, thank god.
>>138985722
Quality dipped a bit towards the end but it was a great run none the less.
They kinda fucked up this scene.
It doesn't show Oboro getting mutilated and people might wonder next time why he has only one arm.
>>138985758
>buy the BD
>>138985758
>opponent general lying the ground
>walk away without cutting his head
Twice in a row in the same episode.
How's the pill work anyway?
If you swallowed it you die for a period of time but if you keep it in your mouth you die for a couple minutes?
Kondou didn't swallowed after all and Naraku confirmed that he died before

>>138985492
You've been a let down your whole life.
>>138987549
And someone replied to him again.
How new are you ?
Have you not come to a Gintama thread ever again ?
>>138985113
Its both. It was obvious he had mommy and daddy issues but he also has the Yato blood making him try to hit heads all the time.
>>138987651
I can't help it.
>>138987651
>negative opinions are trolling
Some of us actually liked Gintama.
>>138987914
And apperantly some of us keep shitposting each week the same thing all over again.
When a person that doesn't like something, posts his opinion about it then it is ok.
When he doesn't like something and just posts the same thing every time, then it is just shitposting.
Serious question
How do we kill the Utsuro ?
This one had caught me off guard, I laughed harder than I should have. Now I have mixed feelings about what happened afterwards.
>>138988019
Maybe different people post their negative opinions, you retarded fuckhead?
I haven't post in a Gintama thread in a while. Stop being so upset about people not sucking dicks with you. You god damn newfags and your "shitposting."
>>138988650
>I haven't post in a Gintama thread in a while.
There
As i said, every single week there is someone who is posting the same thing at almost the same time as all the threads.
It doesn't take a lot to conclude that he is the same person trying to stir trouble just like he does now.
My point is that he does it continusly every week and every week people fall for his bait.
Check the archive and you'll see his post on EVERY thread somewhere around the start of the thread then tell me that I am retarded.
Hirano Aya's voice acting was the highlight of this episode.
The animation was disappointingly stiff.
>>138988849
Stop being so paranoid and trigged, you god damn retard. For fucks sake.
>>138988921
Nice retort.
Have my upvote ^
>>138988993
It must be hard being brain damaged.
Such a great episode, had me in tears.
>>138984306
That fucking song man. ;_;
When you look at how good some of the comedy episodes are, the dramatic ones should not be this good.
Is there any word on when the new series is going to start/OVAs be released?
I need to catch up.
>>138989552
You have a week to catch
I never catch up the threads, who had the brilliant idea to air this show at 4 am.
>>138985963
I don't know, but Naraku checked Isaburo too and he didn't use the pill
What's your ED rank and how does Acchi Miuite fit into it?
Personally It's in my top 5.
>>138990487
Of all time? Probably top 3(if I made any), definitely the best ED of this year.
>>138985758
They probablycutthe scene to save frames
Here's hoping they remember to keep his arm for next time

>>138990985
You dropped this.
>>138985363
Is there a worse character?
>>138992608
Kyubei
>>138992858
>this guy was on standby the entire time
>>138985281
>if he was naturally a beast
Yatos, and humans, are natural beasts, but environment plays an important role. Just look at the background of many serial killers, and you would realise they were not just naturally prone to murder but the environment also pushed them or put the cherry on top of their mental problems.
>>138993110
and there are serial killers who grew up with minimal or significantly less hostile environments so that's a moot point
Sometimes nature can be twisted enough that even a nurturing environment has no effect
What's your favourite canon Gintama relationship?
>>138993183
I would ask you for examples about healthy environments and serial killers, but I don't want to derail this thread. As for Kamui, and I mean about Sorachi as author, he doesn't seem to like make evil people just for the sake of evil.
>>138993316
Now is it bad for Sorachi to give backstory to his villains ?
People bash Sorachi for always making sympathetic villains but if he were to make villains without backstory, it would be bad writing.
So what is better:A villain with a backstory or not ?
>>138993607
It's perfectly fine to have villains with backstory AND villains without backstory at the same time. You can't just jump to either extreme when someone says there's a slight adjustment necessary
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa8LALGQjyE
I was hoping they would use this song during Isaburo's fall, but it turns out it was already used during Kagura's illness arc, such a shame.
Reception in peace Isaburo
>>138993607
Calm down, anon. I was just stating Sorachi likes to portray the evil in people with background, how did you read my comment that made you think I was saying it was bad?
Sasaki was never really a villain, just barely in the thorny arc and in courtesan of a nation it heavily hinted to his motivations in 261. (also worth mentioning 261 setup an absurd amount of stuff for the SA and FS arc, its like everything between 261 and 300 save for the shinigami arc was filler)
>>138994031
When did I say it was a bad thing ?
I just asked you what you prefer and what you think is better characterization for a villain .
>>138994092
Ok, I get it now, sorry.
It depends. I prefer an evilness explained with a background, because motivations are the fuel for any goal, even wrong goals. Right now, I can't remember an anime or manga with an pure evil character. I only remember the cosmic horror from Lovecraft, when it comes to talking about an evil nature. Or Heart of Darkness. Not even Mushishi tries to call mushis evil ones.
>>138993267
I thought it was always sweet how Madao's wife still cares for him.
>>138995162
I forgot Madao had a wife
I still don't understand most of the serious arcs recently.
This is all loosely based on 1800's so or. A series of coups /because/? Is this all just infighting of 'royal'/high class families causing a string of civil wars? Were the people that unhappy with shogun fraternizing with the amanto? (basically the western world?).
What I get is that power is changing hands, but the combatants are mostly faceless mooks about a serious string of events that just don't seem to have the proper weight or political development behind them. I just want to understand who/what all the factions real counterparts are why the fucking they were all fighting. The rapid shift during shogun arc never set up WHY I would give a fuck about shogun because he was just a fucking gag character. What were his policies/dealings that made average joe hate him.
>katsura's team hates him because he/his father bowed/dealt with the aliens and submitted (but to what end politically/economically. Their tech jumped up a long way etc)
>he later says 'fuck you I ain't a puppet anymore'. Aliens/foreigner's not happy, they align with nobunobu & co because he's willing and powerhungry (and why?)
>latest arc is all about new shogun killing any who are not loyal (why doesn't general populace go full civil war?)
>>138995314
Everything you need to know has been explained enough already.
>>138985690
>They used the Obi'Wan-niisan soundtrack.
Now that's they have both been animated. Sho-chan or Isaburo? Which death hit you harder?
>>138995656
Isaburo's
Shogun's death was more important for the plot progression but Isaburo's was straight up just for tragedy.
>>138995656
The fake Sho-chan decapitation when reading the manga got me the best (worst?)
But like >>138995775 said, Shogun's felt inevitable and semi-expected while Isaburo's was tragic and got me all teary.
>>138995314
The actual politic situation, the government past decisions and the importance of the Shogun have all been explained in the Courtesan of a Nation arc.
NobuNobu's faction got focus during Shinigami and Shogun Assasination arcs.
The people don't start a civil war because the new government is legit, we know it was a conspiracy, but they don't. Even this was explained.
I hope you were trolling, because otherwise you got a big attention problem
>>138993649
Kamui isn't really a villain that can go for long without any backstory since he's one of the MC's brother.
I'm glad it's ending
I can't imagine how big shitstorm would be when Gintoki will die.
>>138996101
I feel like Takasugi dying would cause a bigger shitstorm. He is the fujo favourite.
>>138996101
Part of me wants this to happen cause it'll be a good way to end the series if we get a montage of how hes changed Edo for the best however I'm also in hope that once it finishes, Gorilla will make the occasional OVA/special.
Wait so next week is the very last episode of gintama then? Can we at least get a sticky?
>>138996413
Its the very last of this series. It'll probably be back to finish for good though.
I really hope Gintama stays finished once the manga ends. No special chapters or OVAs or anything.
I'm looking forward to whatever Sorachi draws next.
>>138996703
Gintama Z would be perfect though.
>>138996703
>I'm looking forward to whatever Sorachi draws next.
Me too, but I fear he'll never escape comparison to Gintama, especially if he continues to do comedy-heavy series.
>>138996802
Have you read his other manga? They've got the Sorachi style comedy but they're nothing like Gintama. I don't think people would compare his new work to Gintama that much, even if it's a comedy-heavy series.
>>138996101
>tfw Zura died
>tfw 10 years later he comes back
>"What the hell guys, I'm on standby"
>>138996924
>Have you read his other manga?
Admittedly a long while ago.
But the gorilla is going to be remembered for Gintama, unless his next work is as big or even bigger.
>>138996924
Which manga
>>138997420
Probably his one-shots.
>>138997420
Bankara and 13.
>>138996924
I remember reading that one about shinigamis, with a guy who looked like Hijikata. It was fun, and I kinda remember Sorachi mentioning he was interested in making it a serialized story.
Spoilers never
>>138997605
That one was before Gintama and Sorachi used some of the ideas from that for Gintama. It was included in the first Gintama volume.
If anybody knows about an English version of Dandelion... But if someone is curious enough, you can look the two parts in Spanish here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJQ9fL0yp6Q
Welp. I knew it was coming from these threads but I still teared up.
>>138985583
Didn't remember that he was its brother, took me off guard..
This may sound weird but besides Takasugi my favorite antagonist is Oboro.
He has so much mystery in him and I can't wait to see his backstory.
I am hoping his title as the inkillable cockroach will keep him alive in this arc.
>>138998483
Poor Mr.Elite, I liked him since thorny arc
Nobume said to Gintoki he wasn't the one who killed his sensei but Utsuro. Does the manga explain more about this topic? Did she mean literally?
>>139000235
Next week is the last episode, so you should promptly pick up the manga after that.
Bumping because manga spoilers soon.
Leaving the thread because manga spoilers soon.
>>139001385
isn't there a written summary up already?
>>139001592
Nothing yet but Toriko and World Trigger already have their summary spoilers up, so I am waiting for the Gintama ones.
Stop making me cry, Gintama.
>>139001910
http://festy.jp/web/posts/7219 ?
>>139001562
Animefag here, I think i'll come to this threads when anime ends
Aya did a great job this ep.Can we get Haruhi S3 now?
>>139002483
Wait from what I can understand after the whole chapter full of Kamui's backstory, now we go for a comedy chapter ? That's weird.
is it pretty much confirmed they won't do another anime season?
>>139002813
The exact opposite.
Don't open if you are anime only.
>>138990819
Did you just say...___cut___?
>>139002970
I WANT TO OPEN IT SO BADLY
>>139003271
He always wasa headof the competition
>>139003314
Just do it then.
It just the most badass scene in all of Gintama.
>>139002641
Gorilla did the same for that swordsman chapter. It felt weird.
>>138996802
I think Sorachi is a fairly decent writer with a style that makes you believe the opposite. I'll be be looking forward for his next project as well.
>>138994050
The stuff in between those arcs were definitely just sorachi finishing up any ideas he had left in his head for the series before things went to hell, there was alot of really final feeling stuff in there too with the increase in flashbacks to the joei war and stuff. But theres no doubt sorachi used that last stretch of comedy to plan out how the finale would play out.
>>138996802
i hope its like gintama with how it shifts between drama and comedy. Though i really wouldnt mind him doing something more serious overall next time either.
No spoilers today?
Damn, when that sad track started to play in the end I teared up a bit.
>>138990487
probably my 3rd favorite ending theme behind samurai heart and possibility. It really fits the melancholy of the recent arcs.
I almost expected them to update the opening with Utsuro's unmasked face
>>139007492
Afraid not yet.
