The manga's art is...something else. Like everyone is insane distorted tumor people but the author is so detailed so consistently that it's like, he knows exactly what he's doing and is skilled, he just really LIKES insane tumor anatomy.

In all grounded reality though, I think I know exactly what's going to happen with Musashi. Baki's training will start to pay off hugely in a fight against Musashi, but ultimately fail because Musashi has fucking musouken. He'll be half a second from being cut down when Yuichiro will appear behind Musashi and snap his arms off like a wishbone. "An even greater aura surges forth...!!!" Queue next arc of Baki Dou.

The series doesn't look nearly as good when animated. It's just an innate truth, unless they somehow find animators that can consistently copy or mimic Itagaki's style in animated form, or fund some to train to do so. That alone would cost a *lot*.
