How come there are no sports anime about archery? A lot of series have a character that might practice it, but I can't find anything where it would be the main focus. Does archery have some sort of a stigma in Japan?

It's a boring sport, especially for an entire anime to revolve around. You can only get so many bullseyes in so many different ways and characters don't compete directly with each other. Like for example, guns are cool as fuck but an anime revolving around "purely" target shooting would suck ass.

It'd just turn into C3-bu but with bows.
