We still have people like Aoki in the industry.
Why would Shinbo at all be hurting the anime industry? He hasn't even done anything in years. He's got some classics under his belt too, so I think those alone make him a good guy. He's influential on some great directors as well.

He was for a while for sure, now he doesn't actually do enough to really be considered that. I'd say Hiroyuki Sawano currently is since because of him every blockbuster action show has the same damn soundtrack kind of like how it is with MCU comic book movies.
