MHA feels closer to Part 1 (the part that actually drew people in). Stuff like how our main cast is made up of these young rookies, similar to the genin, with them getting taught and assisted by their older, more powerful teachers, similar to the squad leaders. You've got a clear group of villains that are older and far more powerful that the young ones end up facing anyway. I remember how the impression of the sports festival arc was feeling like the chunin exam, and people were expecting the villain alliance to interrupt.

What exactly about that makes it seem tailored to be long running? The fact that you can even pin it down to one location and one concept shows that it's limited as fuck, and super heroes are a big red flag for power creep. On the other hand series like One Piece and HxH benefit in the long run from jumping around to various diverse locations, and Oda is good at long term planning while Togashi is good with variety between arcs. Jojo benefits from being broken up into vastly different parts with different protags. Naruto and Bleach don't really have something like that to keep them going strong, and BnHA doesn't really seem to either.

Jump revealed a lot of the times they just place WT wherever. I think it's half votes, half Jump doing whatever the hell it wants. Either way, WT is in similar spot as Bleach. Sells well, but ranks low for whatever reason. Like Bleach, WT isn't going anywhere, especially not with an ongoing anime on air right now.
