The visuals are my favorite out of any Kyoani show, the designs are my favorite in all of anime.
The plot is a bit lackluster, but it did its job and kept me interested.

The story telling is kinda hit and miss and plenty of shit doesn't make a lick of sense until the movie or is just straight up unexplained.
I personally loved the character designs and the visual style.The dub is what really sold it to me though. I watched the first half in nip and ended up dropping it and picked up the dub to watch when I was ill and frankly it was just better. Oh shit heresy I know, but it even lived up to my first impressions when I rewatched the dub with a friend months later.
