Also, the series is popular and usually even the interviews and small shit gets translated.

Re-watching S1 right now. I'm glad to know I'm still enjoying as much as the first time. But damn son, I don't remember Rin's teen angst being so intense and the animation being subpar comparing to S2.
Can't wait for the movie. I hope they show Nao relationship with Haru and the other boys just like in the novel.

For those who didn't read the novels, it's really weird to have two strangers as main characters and boys they spent 2 seasons with, like Rin, Rei and Nagisa, to be supporting characters. I was already familiar with High Speed so I know the movie will be pleasant to me.
Taking about business, I think they should've made a sequel instead of a prequel, it would be far more successful. Something similar to K-On movie.
But I can't complain about anything. Seeing Ikuya animated is a dream coming true.

It has shotas instead of sexy muscular teenagers. Four of the six main characters they took two seasons to develop barely appeared. Four new characters were introduced instead. Story was already known since it was an adaptation of the light novel, so there were no big surprises. And it was about becoming good friends, which was ridiculous since these new characters weren't even mentioned in the anime (about three or four years later in timeline).
Despite this, it was quite praised and I know I'll enjoy cute shotas doing cute things.

Original stories are a selling point for movies. They could generate more expectation by revealing hints about the unknown plot.
For example, we never had threads discussing what this or that meant and speculating, like with S2 or other movies. We barely posted in ghost about whether the new spread was nice or not. At most, we tried to guess about Rei's part.
