I know it's a dumb question but why they don't make a SoL about adult women? Maybe this could fix or minimize the low birth rate problem since maybe a few otaku would start to have interest in women that they can have a health relationship instead of turning them into pedos since most shows are about high school girls.

The most important reason of the decline in birth rate is female education. It was a mistake making them literate.
>>
>>138924705
Most developed counties are actually slowing down.

But the short version most people can agree on is that women are marrying later and children are more expensive in developed countries, as opposed to the 3rd world where they can enter the labor force quickly.
>>
>>138925682
Don't worry, most of them are as lazy as ever. They'll get some bullshit college degree and then get married right after so they can have kids as an excuse to stay at home and just spend their husbands money all day. Go to any retail store during a weekday morning. It's nothing but princesses playing on their iPhones.
>>
>>138925682
This post is not entirely wrong. Japan always had this strict company loyalty that sucked the life of their employees but back the day it was ok because woman stayed at home tacking care if the children.

But now woman are also corporate slaves so that means if they get married one they would have to quit and the don't put so much effort into their careers just to drop all to change diapers.

I may be incorrect, so if anyone wants to prove me wrong go ahead, but isn't a big part of the cost of children in Japan schooling? In the US we have public schools, and pretty much everyone uses those and goes on to do whatever, but Japan has made private schooling a lot more competitive, to the point it's a fuckton to send a kid to a good school.
The whole idea is that you go to school, get an education, get a job you'll never leave, and either never procreate or perpetuate the cycle.

Most modern women see it as resigning any and all hopes, dreams, and ambitions they had and throwing it into the fire to pump out babies. Japan is stingy as fuck when it comes to maternal leave and would rather just out right lay you off instead of giving you a few weeks with your newborn. Men don't want to have to share income with a spouse who cannot work because of the aforementioned statement, nor do they want to be the sole provider in a relationship that has a brand new mouth to feed.

Also, Japan has a crazy retarded population density anyway, so why is this even a big deal?
>>
>>138926555
Doesn't mean the cost isn't high.
Not sure how competitive colleges actually are in terms of recruiting students (I'd assume pretty competitive), but even then, the cost is still outrageous.

And then there's the factor of the quality of the education. Get a better education to go to better university and get better job.

Once again, all assumption based on observation.
>>
>>138926669
>why is this even a big deal?
It's not. Only plebs that read the news headlines fall for the birthrate meme in Japan. One should actually be worried about birth rates in countries like Germany where the white population is consistently being bred out of existence but alas, no one gives a shit because the news would rather talk about the oh so tolerant and humanitarian German population.
>>
>>138926700
What you are seeing is inelastic demand, but if there were almost no private schools the prices would be higher unless the government capped that shit out

But yeah, education in 3rd world is really cheap compared to the US or Japan

I would like to see that depending on the realization, but in general, it's like watching other people being happy while you are miserable. Even with no conscious intention, presenting things like a happy marriage or parenthood is like bragging to others how better you are than them. Do you really think that could fly in an autistic medium that is consumed mostly by miserable kissless virgins such as anime?
>>
>>138924705

Feminism obviously.

Some would tell you it's the bad economy, children are expensive, etc. Bullshit. Immigrants have lot of kids and they're usually poorer. It's the culture. They come from one in which women are expected to be mothers, ours have devolved into one in which being a wageslave to a faceless corporation is preferred to having a family. Just watch all the childless urbanites doting to fucking dogs.

Japan is a tiny archipelago that survived for thousands of years with limited contact with the greater outside world, which has always had a relatively low population compared to the surrounding countries. Japan can't support over a 100 million people while expecting everyone to be able to breed and attain the lifestyle securities which humans have for thousands of generations evolved to attribute to successful breeding. What you are seeing now is biology in action: population is a self regulating affair.

There are only two parties which benefit from high population: governments and corporations.

>and they unfortunately seem forever fixated on the younger spectrum
Humans in general are, anon. Do you honestly think you can change the prime attraction males have had for the past several thousand years? Men don't want old women and women don't want to watch or be around old women. Old people have only ever played one of two roles in fiction: that of the singular wise man or that of the crazy old person. No one really wants to watch the daily lives of someone who really should have died decades ago.

He was a bit brash with the point, but he isn't far off actually. Women want to focus more on their professional life than starting a family nowadays.
This is the same everywhere, it's just Japan already has a fucked up work ethic so the problems get amplified.
When you consider that most of the population lives in cities, where this sort of job is the most numerous, there are a lot of people who aren't having kids purely because of their jobs.

That being said, the solution isn't to stop women from working like some idiots would have you think, but encouraging the shitty work ethic that exists over there, which in theory will happen as older managers and CEOs retire, but by then they will finally have to face up to the fact that no pension system could possibly support an ageing population of their extent after such low birth rates, and the fact old people just don't die over there.

Because it has a certain stigma among Japanese. It's not a uniquely Japanese thing, but the societal pressure is ultimately what makes it worse to Japanese. Japanese women often shift into "mother mode" out of "wife" mode and it leads to sexless marriage often. Again, that's not a uniquely Japanese thing but it is common apparently.

Then you've got the problems of who raises the kids and does the housework while one or the other spouse goes to work... It's a turbulent time for any parent, but Japanese have it pretty bad. Let alone the fact that mental health in Japan is often overlooked as something you deal with, you've got mothers with postpartum depression and don't deal with it well.

An anime about new parents would be interesting, but a depressing reality if it is actually portrayed realistically.
