Sakura no. She treats people that are kind to her like shit, i.e. Naruto, Ino. She had decent development once, but she further regressed into 'muh sasuke'. She had no backstory and probably could have been taken out of the plot with no problem.

Most of Sasuke's fights were pretty good before the start of the Fourth war, for example against Deidara, B and Danzo

So you'd take out the whole plot of the shippuden era and replace it with just going after Oro and Akatsuki? I don't really oppose it but I actually like the temptation aspect oroginally in place at the end of part 1/beggining of shippudden with sasuke, it was just poorly handled in my opinion.

Do we really need to care for them? That's not an argument, from a storytelling point: there relationship makes zero sense. But so do most of the canon pairings in Naruto. It feels so forced on just to sell Boruto I'd hardly even call it canon to begin with.

Because quite often a story can forget to justify what it tried to do. Sasuke's descent into madness makes him a bad example, and even now he is still shown to be a shitty humanbeing. Are we suppose to feel bad that there aren't more of him around?
